Hello, my name is
Tehut (Tih-hoot)!
I am a UI/UX Designer and overall creative. I am currently a senior at Georgia Institute of Technology studying Computer Science with concentrations in Human-Computer Interaction.
I came to design through code, teaching, and art. My work sits at the intersection of how things function, how people learn, and how things feel.
I am passionate about caring for others and live my life with the core principle of empathy. Professionally, that means creating beautiful digital experiences that listens first, then acts.

I understand what's happening under the hood.
A Computer Science background has allowed me to design with technical reality in mind. I can collaborate with engineers as a peer, not just a hand-off.

I think about how people learn by default.
I've held various teaching roles over the years and currently work as an Instructor at KidsNextCode, teaching students across underserved communities various computer science fundamentals such as coding, AI, robotics and cybersecurity. Teaching trained me to meet people where they are - to break complex things down, read the room, and adjust. This instinct lives in every design decision I make.

I create content that connects with people.
I've worked as a Social Media Manager for many organizations but most recently for Black Student Computing Organization and Ethiopian-Eritrean Student Association. My experiences have taught me how to communicate visually, tell stories effectively, and understand what makes someone stop scrolling.
Art is where I think out loud.
I have always been interested in art and aesthetics. Over the years, I have experimented with various mediums from acrylic paint to oil paint - currently working primarily with digital art. My personal art practice keep my eye sharp and my instincts honest - it's where composition, color, and feeling come before function.

I just wrapped up my internship at Lenovo and I'm looking forward to what's next!
This past experience gave me the chance to work on real design challenges inside a global tech company. It confirmed what I already believed: that thoughtful design genuinely changes how people feel about the tools they use every day.
I'm graduating soon and actively looking for a full-time role where I can keep growing - somewhere that cares about the people using their products as much as I do!
